How to save WhatsApp status to your phone gallery

WhatsApp introduced status or stories which allows users to upload images or texts and allow contacts view them via the WhatsApp status tab on the application.  While viewing statuses most users had always wanted to save exciting content published by one or more of their contacts, so I’ll be using this post to put you through that.

 Hope it helps.

Step1:  open your device’s file manger which you would find on your phone’s application menu. After doing this you should see a screen that displays your phone internal storage or external (if you have any). Just like the image below

 

 

 

Step2: just click on the internal storage, or whatever storage your WhatsApp uses. You should see all the folders in the storage root. Just slide up till you see the WhatsApp folder. Use image below as reference if confused.

Step3: click on the WhatsApp folder and you should see something like the image below (Note: ignore device interface if different from these)

Step4: now click on the Media folder  and you should see folder for individual WhatsApp medias, just click the 3dots at the right bottom of the school(or anywhere if using a different interface).

Step5: now click on show hidden files .

Step6: you would see a hidden folder for statuses now visible.

Step7: click on it and you would see all the files on your status update.

Step8: now copy and paste on WhatsApp  videos or any suitable folder.
